Amadeus Academy

Felicity runs her own business as, last year, she took over as Director and Music Director of the Amadeus Academy. This is an annual, week-long, summer residential course with a 30-year legacy, aimed at music students and early-career professionals. Not only is she responsible for conducting the rehearsals and performances but also for organising the course and concerts, managing the publicity, running our social media accounts and for the finances and fundraising.

  • The course is open to young professionals and music students from anywhere in the world. Whilst many applications come from Conservatoires, we warmly encourage applicants from Universities and from anyone hoping to be in the profession soon. There are currently places available in all sections and decisions can usually be made fairly quickly. Due to the high number of clarinet and flute applicants, these are usually decided on in the New Year. There are a limited number of  full and half price bursaries available.

There are a few places for non-orchestra players. The cost is the same, but you will be expected to carry out a few duties, such as shifting percussion, selling programmes and stewarding at concerts.

  • Download & complete this form (word format) and send to the address at the bottom of the form or by email. Or contact us to be sent a form.

If you apply on or after 1 May 2026 and are accepted then the full £340 will be requested at that time. Cheques should be made payable to: Amadeus Chorus and Orchestra. The Orchestra of St. Clements

In 2022, Felicity set up a concert series at St. Clement’s Church, Islington under the name of ‘The Orchestra of St. Clement’s’ with the aim of collaborating with like-minded musicians to make music more accessible. Over the course of the year, Felicity and the orchestra gave five, hour-long concerts that were completely free for everyone to attend.

News of past concerts can be found on the orchestra’s Facebook page - @OrchestraofStClements
